A Master’s in Media and Entertainment is a graduate-level program that gives students a solid understanding of the dynamic and always changing industry of film and entertainment. Practice Lab | In partnership with Warner Bros

In the Practice Lab, where theoretical concepts are applied and participants learn via experience, students spend 10 hours completely immersed. The Lab is led by managers from leading national or international firms in the sector or industry, who will explore various specialized knowledge, work on exercises, and network while transferring their experience and knowledge to the students. The activities at the Lab are tailored to each Master program and its objectives and are totally managed by the School’s Partner Companies.

Capstone Project

At the end of your educational experience, you will have the chance to prove your abilities by tackling a real business challenge. Use your talent to identify opportunities and create a truly innovative strategy.

You will present your Capstone Project to the Academic Committee composed of the Master’s Program Director, and (if applicable) a select group of industry experts and managers.

The project will be evaluated in terms of content, originality, and presentation, plus a bonus for an excellent teamwork activity.

Experienced Adjunct Professor of Cinema Arts, Filmmaking and Media Development and Business, with a history of achievement in the higher education sector. Skilled in Film Production, Television, and Video.

Holding a Degree in Cinema Studies, a Higher Level Certificate in Filmmaking at NYFA, one in Television Writing from UCLA Extension, and a Master Degree in Creative Writing from Teesside University. Worked as a 1st AD and Producer in several Indies films and documentaries in the US and EU. As a Writer-Director, he signed the international awarded short movies “The Nurse” and “The Birdman”.

Oswald Garms International Coordinator at Notorious Pictures Spa

Oswald started his career 20 years ago, working as Video Editor at RAI (Radiotelevisione Italiana). He was then Sales Manager, Head of Development and Junior Producer at Bavaria Film. Subsequently he worked as Delegate Producer at Verdeoro S.r.l. Unipersonale and at Ombre Rosse Film Production. Now he is International Coordinator at Notorious Pictures Spa, an independent company based in Roma which operates in the acquisition of the Rights of Cinematographic Works (full rights) and in the marketing of the same through all distribution channels (cinema, home video, pay TV and free TV, new media). Since 2017 he is also Professor at the Roma Film Academy.

Edgardo Altieri Business Legal Affairs - Consultant

Qualified Lawyer (admitted to the Italian Bar of Rome) specialized in Media and Entertainment, Intellectual Property and Data Protection law. He supports clients in the media sector (e.g., producers, broadcasters, media agencies etc.) and in the Entertainment industry. With over 12 years of experience as a lawyer in the field, he provides high-quality and tailored legal/entrepreneurial assistance, offering support on legal matters including the production and distribution of Cinema, TV and Web products. He started as Partner at LegalInternational; now he is Founder and Owner of A/C Studio Legale, External Consultant in Business Legal Affairs for Rai Cinema, Professor at the Roma Film Academy and Member of the Steering Committee at Premio Solinas, the most important Italian award for film writing, discovery and promotion of new talent.

Benedetta Baglioni Executive Producer at Fremantle Media Italia SpA ·

Benedetta has almost 20 years of experience in the Media department. With a degree in Literature - performing arts, she began her work experience at the Italian Cultural Institute of New York. Deeply in love with theatre, she gained a considerable experience in both role as assistant director and producer, before getting to the “small screen”. As a TV producer, she collaborated with various players in the Italian scene, making information and entertainment programmes aired on major broadcasters, such as Rai, La7, Mediaset, Discovery. After a short but intense experience in advertising (Young&Rubicam agency) she landed at Fremantle Media Italia, where, as Executive Producer, she made numerous Studio show, including the three editions of "Nemo. Nessuno escluso" for Rai2, and docu-series such as "Wanna" for the Netflix platform.

DIEGO MALARA
Diego Malara Development Executive and Transmedia Specialist at FABULA PICTURES

Diego is Founder and CEO of Italian Job Studio srl, a creative ensemble working on soon-to-be announced projects spanning from videogames to TV products and comics, and Development Executive and Transmedia Specialist at Fabula Pictures srl. He started as a Producer and Writer of the Gamebuster video games show and was then Editor in Chief at Play Press Publishing. Later he worked as Consultant for Rai Trade and as Vice Artistic Director for the International Comics, Animation, Movies and Games Festival ROMICS. He also worked for Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso as Freelance and for Panini as Editorial Coordinator.

Antonio Montaperto Graphic designer

Over 22 years of work experience in the international film and television industry. Worked for Fox, Disney, Universal, CBS. A producer of several films and documentaries. An expert in 360-degree production, covering pre-production, production, and post-production. Also works as a graphic designer.
