International Master in Data Science Overview

Participants with no background in data science can follow several introductory courses that will prepare them to enter the world of Data Science. This Master in Data Science is very multidisciplinary and structured so that participants first develop basic managerial skills and then specialize and use scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems (unifying statistics, data analysis, machine learning) to extract knowledge and insights from data with the purpose of making business decisions.

Practice Lab | In partnership with

Rome Business School Practice Lab is the place where theoretical concepts are put in practice and participants learn through experience. The Lab is run by TABLEAU managers who will examine different specialist knowledge, work on exercises and network, while sharing their experience and expertise with the students. Tackle a real company challenge. You can choose to be part of a small team and design a Marketing plan for a new business or develop a strategy to increase online sales or create a loyalty offering for different generation.

You will be given two case studies from two real companies that will allow you to test your knowledge learnt during the master’s course.

MBA Executive; Master in Engineering and Environmental Economy; Degree in Electronic Engineering. ICT Director – Chief Information Officer (CIO); +18 years of professional experience in Information and Communication Technology; Professor at Rome Business School.

Graduated with honors in Electronic Engineering at the University Roma Tre, received his MBA Executive from Link Campus University of Malta. Currently working as ICT Director of ATAC, the largest local public transportation company in Italy, and one of the largest in Europe.​

He has been CIO (Chief Information Officer) and IT Operations Manager for almost 10 years, in one of the biggest providers of technological solutions for the worldwide gaming market.​

His most relevant expertise is in IT Service Management, IT Governance, where he is certified ITIL v 3 Foundation and Green Belt Six Sigma, as well as in IT Security Data Protection.​

Lecturer at conferences and University courses, he is specialized not only in identifying innovative products and developing advanced technological solutions, aimed to reduce the TCO and to achieve a more efficient operations management, but also as in process reengineering activities to achieve Digital Transformation goals.

RAFFAELE MIELE
Raffaele Miele Data Science Mentor at MentorCruise and Head of Data Science and Principal Data Scientist at Crisma.

With a PhD in Statistics, Raffaele has 20 years of experience in Consulting and Data Science. He started as a Junior Consultant at SLIM (Statistical Learning and Information Management), and then worked as a Researcher and Trainer for the University of Naples Federico II. Subsequently he took on the role of Freelance Consultant and Trainer, working for KENOBI Srl, Ducati Motor Holding, the National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), SIAE (for Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence), Visiant, Accenture Analytics (for Predictive Analytics). In the meantime, he was Pre-sales Engineer and Product Specialist for the KXEN division at Gruppo DaMan srl.

DARYA MAJIDI
Darya Majidi CEO and owner Daxo Group

Darya is an Iranian-Italian Entrepreneur, digital and human rights activist with 30 years of experience in Digital Transformation and AI. She started as a Professor, teaching Artificial Intelligence at the University of Pisa, Management and Healthcare at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. Meanwhile she was Founder and President of Synapsis Srl, a Software Development company, and President of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Livorno for Confindustria. Subsequently she was Vice President of Confindustria Livorno Massa Carrara and Councilor for Economic Development and Innovation of the Municipality of Livorno. For 11 years she then worked at Dedalus Italia S.p.A., as Founder and President of Dcare and Healthcare 4.0 Senior Advisor. She currently holds various roles: she is the Founder, Owner and CEO of DaxoLab and Daxo Group, a strategic consulting and executive training company in Industry 4.0; Member of the Board of Movet and Member of the Advisory Board of Osservatori Digital Innovation Healthcare; Vice President of ARTES 4.0 - Competence Center; Founder and President of Donne 4.0, a no-profit social association; Speaker for Leo Speakers Bureau.​

Carmine Buono Senior Technical Manager / Solution Architect at SFERANET

Carmine has developed 25 years of experience in the IT sector, first working as a System Engineer for L.C. Service s.r.l. and for Core Line s.r.l., then at Crisma and Crisma Security S.r.l. as Technical Manager and Head of Big Data and IoT Area. Subsequently he joined the Integris S.p.A. team. as Senior Solutions Specialist for Digital Transformation, then as Product IT Manager for Products & Innovation and finally as IT Manager. Today he is Senior Technical Manager and Solution Architect at Sferanet, leader in System Integration and Digital Transformation of its customers. In addition, he holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute and a Certified Administrator from M86 Security, now part of Trustwave.

VINCENZO AURUCCI
Vincenzo Aurucci, MBA Head of National Plan Scuola Connessa

With over 30 years of experience in the IT and Economics sector, Vincenzo began his career holding the role of Software Engineer at Italtel, and then became Senior Account Manager Team Lead at Telecom Italia, where he was responsible for the Intelligent Network Team & Service Creation. He later worked in Telco International Business Development for Lucent Technologies and as General Manager for Italy at Blackberry. Later he was Global Account Director at Nokia, managing sales and customer services. Finally, he joined the Infratel Italia team, first as Regional Director of Operations, then as Business Area Manager and finally as Head of National Plan "Scuola Connessa", a role he still holds today.

SAMUELE MAZZANTI
Samuele Mazzanti ML & AI Manager at Jakala

Samuele has a MSc Degree in Mathematical Statistics and Probability and a Master in Insurance from the MIB Trieste School of Management. He started as a Data Scientist within the Insurance Analytics team at Cattolica Assicurazioni, where one of the main tasks included the design of a data pipeline for estimating the probability of abandonment for the entire customer base. He was then Senior Data Scientist within the Data Science & AI team at Wind Tre. To date he holds the position of ML & AI Manager at Jakala, leader in Europe in the Martech field. He is also Data Science Writer at Towards Data Science.

BRUNO GALLOZZI
Bruno Gallozzi Trainer and in the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing sector

Bruno has over 30 years of experience as a Trainer and in the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing sector. He began as Project Manager at Spatari Informatica Srl, responsible for analysis and management of the management procedure development team. He was then Microsoft Trainer at Altin Srl, Trainer at Telecom Italia, Business Objects Trainer at SAP. For almost 20 years he worked at Jakin SRL, covering the roles of CTO, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing Expert, GDPR, Big Data and CIO, Strategies, Research and Development. To date he is Senior Data Analyst, Senior Data Warehouse Architect, Data Engineer, Database Administrator, Senior Trainer (working for institutes such as Geeks Academy Europe, MentorCruise, Cegos, ITCore Group, Swiss School of Management and Philmark Academy)

A data scientist is responsible for developing strategies for data analysis, preparing data for analysis, exploring, analyzing, and visualizing data, creating models with data using programming languages such as Python and R, and implementing models in applications.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the figure of the Data Scientist is increasingly in demand and jobs in this field will increase by 11 percent by 2024. For this reason, the average salary of a Data Scientist is constantly growing and varies depending on experience from 35 thousand to 70 thousand euros per year.
