Practice Lab | In partnership with GroupM

The Rome Business School’s Practice Lab is where theoretical concepts are put into practice and participants learn through experience. The lab is run by GroupM managers who will review various specialized knowledge, work on exercises and network, sharing their experience and expertise with students. Tackle a real company challenge. You can choose to be part of a small team and design a Marketing plan for a new business or develop a stragy to increase online sales or create a loyalty offering for different generation.

You will be given two case studies from two real companies that will allow you to test your knowledge learnt during the master’s course.

Sabina Eminente​

30 years of experience in Marketing and partner of yourCMO. Education: Master's Degree in Business Administration / Management, specialisation in Marketing – Università Bocconi

Sabina Eminente is an international manager with extensive experience across tier-1 brands and industries. She started her career at Bocconi University as Researcher and Adjunct Professor in Marketing, then moved to Nestlé Italy in various marketing and innovation roles up to Group Brand Manager. She then did the Italian start-up and launch of lastminute.com as Marketing Manager and was also in charge of the website and advertising sales.

She continued her career internationally as Europe Marketing Director at Nestlé Chilled Dairy and as Central Europe Head of Marketing at Mastercard, then moved to various Business Development roles within Mastercard, including the rollout of Contactless payment technology, the development of an ancillary revenue Cardholder Services business and more recently leading the European development of a newly acquired MarTech platform for retailers’ loyalty. She’s currently a Partner of YourCMO, providing fractional management and marketing consulting services to companies.

ELISA BARBIERI
Elisa Barbieri Brand Strategist | Communication consultant

With a background in International Communication and Branding, Elisa started her career as an Account Executive for Nastro Azzurro at ADDV EURO RSCG. She later became an Account Manager for Colgate and Palmolive at Geoff Howe Marketing Communications. Subsequently, she co-founded and co-owned eibranding.com, where she also serves as a Brand Strategist and Communication Consultant. Eibranding.com is a branding and communication studio that combines the latest international innovations with Italian design and style. Elisa is also a Professor at institutions such as IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) and SRISA (Santa Reparata International School of Art).

Marco Ruggeri CEO of DEEPBLUE WORKS

With a Degree in Economics at LUISS, Marco has 25 years of experience. He started his career as Finance Controller at AIESEC Luiss, then became Sales Analyst at ERG SpA. Later he worked as Client Service Director at Young & Rubicam Brands, where he then became Managing Director. He was also Managing Director at Labstore, in charge of the unit of Y&R professionals in shopper marketing and retail disciplines. In the meantime, he was CEO of Scholz & Friends. Subsequently he was General Manager at Red Cell and then worked in Strategic Marketing and Communication at Media One. Most recently he was CEO of OCEANS Fluid Thinking and currently he is CEO of Deepblue Works, a consulting company on strategic marketing, branding and communication.

Marshall Langer Program Director of Master in Finance

A native of Miami, Florida, Marshall received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has additionally taken extensive graduate coursework in counselling psychology at New York University. Marshall enjoyed a 12-year career in diverse business and finance sectors in the U.S. and Europe. He has worked on Wall Street on investment banking and risk arbitrage for firms like Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as well as in trading for BNP Paribas. He further worked in the areas of corporate management, marketing strategy, management consulting, and real estate. Marshall has also taught at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Fordham University, University of Connecticut, Luiss University, and The American University of Rome. Marshall authored UN agency FAO Course guide: Fundamentals of International Business Management, Rome, 2006 and co-author of Leveraged Buyouts, Rome, Kappa, 2012.

Technology entrepreneur focused on digital health and mental wellness, TEDx speaker and author. Biologist, PhD in Neuropharmacology with international academic research experience in pharmacology, drug development, organic chemistry and molecular biology. In 2014 he co-founded the Open BioMedical Initiative, a social impact nonprofit organization addressing disabilities through 3D printing, online collaborative design and community building. In 2017, he co-founded Softcare Studios, a digital health startup focused on improving the therapeutic experience for patients and optimizing hospital operations using immersive technologies and data tracking.
