This 31-hour course aims to develop the knowledge required to pass the Project Management Institute® CAPM® certification examination. The course refers to the topics in the Examination Content Outline, published by the Project Management Institute®, which describes the 10 knowledge areas, broken down into process groups, of the Project Management standard. On completion of the course, participants will be awarded the 23 contact hours required for admission to the examination.
This course is aimed at school leavers or recent graduates who do not have project management experience but intend to start a career in this field or, in any case, to all those who intend to work professionally on projects, demonstrating their knowledge of international project management standards. Indeed, the acquisition of this certification demonstrates possession of knowledge of the principles and terminology contained in the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK® Guide), i.e. the project management standards that are universally recognised as good practice. Furthermore, possession of the certification, in addition to the experience that each individual will gain “in the field”, contributes to increasing the level of competence in project management practice, while enjoying the high level of credibility provided by PMI® certified credentials.
The qualification must be at least secondary school level
Documentation of having carried out a certain number of hours of project management activities
In order to participate in the exam, documentation is required to prove attendance at a preparation course such as this one offered by the Rome Business School.
A mock examination session is planned, concluding with an explanation and comments by the instructor on the correctness of the answers provided by the participants.
The course content is aligned with the topics of the Examination Content Outline, including the 10 knowledge areas and the five process groups of Project Management (People, Process and Business Environment):
