Company Visit: RBS students visit the Italian Senate and attend a lecture by UNICRI representative

Rome Business School’s students visited the Italian Senate, where they met senator Cristiano Anastasi, and attended an enlightening guest lecture by a representative of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute.

Rome, August 27th 2019

One more exciting chance at learning and personal growth at Rome Business School: our students in Political Marketing and Marketing and Communications had the opportunity to visit the Italian Senate‘s headquarters in Palazzo Madama; escorted by professor Valerio Mancini, they had the unique chance to meet senator Cristiano Anastasi and to visit the main halls and chambers of the ancient palace, built during the XV century and which once belonged to the Medici family, learning in the process how one of the highest organs of the Italian state works.

Moreover, our Political Marketing students attended a guest lecture held by Marina Mazzini, who has been working in the Public Information and Urban Security at UNICRI, the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute. Mazzini, who has been working at UNICRI for almost 18 years, delivered an enlightening lecture on the role of communication of UNICRI with focus on priority areas, and on how it is handled especially regarding the functionality of the United Nations.

Located in Turin and founded in 1968, UNICRI is an institute dealing with applied research, training, technical cooperation and circulation of crime prevention and justice. Its mission is to advance justice, crime prevention, security and the rule of law in support of peace, human rights and sustainable development.

The students were very impressed by the topics analyzed during the visits and the history of both of these vital institutions and, above all, eager to learn many new, important and relevant aspects on their field of study.
