Fernanda Ubaldo, Junior Customer Care Service at Renault Group

Ferndana, student of the Global Master in Marketing, explains what she learned and how key was the Rome Business School in kicking off her career.

Tell us about yourself, how your pre, during, and post master’s degree journey has brought you to where you are today.

Hi, my name is Fernanda Ubaldo, I am Brazilian, and I have a degree in Communication with a focus on Marketing in Brazil. My love story with Italy begins with my grandparents, who were Italian, and I used to visit them every year. During my professional journey in Brazil, I had the opportunity to work in a marketing agency and also in an investment bank in the customer experience area. After my graduation, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in Rome to reconnect with my roots and live my childhood dream. My studies in the country started in April at Rome Business School, and I had the opportunity to make incredible friendships, meet important professionals in the industry, and learn even more about the field I love so much. Through Career Services, I had job interviews, and today I work at Renault Group, a well-established company in the market that I am very proud to be a part of.

What are the most important skills you acquired at RBS, which ones you will need to work on the most and which ones to focus on that are essential in the world of work today?

The main things, apart from intellectual and technical knowledge, are the international culture of RBS, the support they provide for any unexpected situation or need, and the friendships I’ve built. I’ve learned not to be afraid of making mistakes and to pursue what I really want. Once I felt determined to pursue my goals, they were achieved and amplified. In the job market, I consider transparency and dedication to be essential.

Why did you decide to join RBS, what did the master’s program give you in terms of skills, competencies, meetings with companies and experiences?

I chose RBS because I believe in its method and competence to open doors for me in the job market in Italy and anywhere in the world.

What do you want to focus on in your work experience today, and what is your career goal?

At the moment, I want to focus on my job and do it with the utmost excellence possible, and my goal is to keep growing, staying in Italy, and working in my field.
