This Blog news explains the results of the Career Services and Entrepreneurship activity carried out during the month of February. In total, 26 of our students were placed. Moreover, our students this month had the opportunities to take part to:
Among the Companies RBS Partner that our students have now the opportunity to work in, Jaguar Land Rover. On this Daniele Maver, President & CEO at Jaguar Land Rover Italy, commented about the candidates’ selection and growth process at Jaguard Land Rover saying:
“The most important factor for any company are the people. My legacy are not the results, but the people now working at JLR, the time I spent selecting them (I always interviewed the last 3 candidates for all people to be hired at JLR even at neo-graduate level). The effort I dedicated to train them on business knowledge and more particularly on soft skills the care I gave to offer them career opportunities at national and international level. Talking about leadership, Mahatma Gandhi once said: ‘A sign of a good leader is not how many followers you have, but how many leaders you create’”.

Meet the students: discover their path and follow their advice!
Camilla, from the Online Master in Agribusiness Management, shared with us her inspiring thoughts looking back at her learning journey with Rome Business School, talking then about her hopes, providing a precious advice to all RBS students.
“I think that Rome Business School works best for those who have an entrepreneurial spirit. I for instance stood my chances with what the school offers and I am getting a whole lot back. Thanks to RBS I got a scholarship for executive women in business, which significantly lowered my tuition fee, and halfway through my Master in Agribusiness Management I found an internship as a project manager for a sustainability business tool. The company is Impakter, and I got to know them through a RBS company visit. I immediately loved the project and I asked for an opportunity to work with them. There is also a chance that this internship will turn into a full time job, if more funds come in. So my work at Impakter is an investment toward successful funding and toward creating my dream job with them. And this is what I mean with having an entrepreneurial spirit: don´t sit back and wait for things to fall on your lap. Show passion and initiative, use the RBS network. Only then it really pays back.”
Alessandro, from the Master in Data Science, talked us about his proud to have been selected as best candidate from Manpower, thanks to RBS Career Services and tells our students to be positive and proactive in order to achieve goals.
“The school gave me the possibility to deep my knowledge not only in the technical field as Business Analyst, but helped to improve my soft skills, that are so important in the job market today. Key was in particular the Career Services that put me in contact with Manpower, where now I am working as Business Intelligence & Analytics Leader. Now to my company I will bring my technical knowledge that I have learned throughout my experience and during the Master, and I will put all my energies to improve the business and catch all the new opportunities. To my colleague I suggest to be yourself, curious, proactive, to never give up and to believe in possibilities that will finally arrive and that you have to be ready to catch.”
Maria Vittoria, from the Executive Master in Marketing & Sales, tells us that is fundamental to discover our main talents, work on them, and to be proactive to find the company that best fits each of us’ personal abilities and values. She successfully did it!
“After just 3 months of classes I have already obtained the carrier change I wanted. Rome Business School immediately struck me for its Career Service Department, it first of all helped me to clarify my talents, my potential and my motivational drives, and then it also provided me with the useful tools to capitalize on my skills. In particular, there was a meeting with Employer Branding experts and a test prepared by Manpower Italia that helped me understand which are my main talents and abilities. So I discovered that I could put versatility and “drive for innovation” into play in new dynamic professional challenges. I also realized that I have to have courage and activate my network to create new opportunities by myself.
And so I did: through LinkedIn I met Injenia, a technological company outside the traditional schemes. Injenia’s mission is to make the company itself one of the best places to live and work: putting the person at the center, it facilitates the management of business processes. I applied for affinity of approach and values, they accepted my meeting proposal, and I did a role play interview, in which after studying two of their products I simulated a commercial approach. And it went well: they offered me to join their team. Now I start this new adventure with enthusiasm because I share the direction the company tends towards, I share its values and mission. I intend to contribute with all of myself, because I truly believe that the more happy people there are at work, the more this can be good for the whole ecosystem”.
