We’re back sharing more stories on Giffoni Dream Team 2019, the exclusive event carried on by Giffoni Innovation Hub where six Rome Business School’s students had the chance to distinguish themselves for their brilliance, talent, and creativity. This time one of our students from the Master in Marketing & Communication, Akshay Bharambe, shares his story and thoughts on his experience at the event, and thrilling challenges he and his colleagues were called to overcome.
As you know, I was part of the team called to face the Environmental Challenge 2050 proposed by Toyota Italia, to which we tried to give a concrete and effective response. I was involved in Feasibility document creation, Graphics, Visualization, and survey design.
To be honest, it took me three weeks to realize the impact of what we did.
It definitely was a unique, educational, and exciting experience. Ten days of full immersion in an engaging, stimulating and innovative environment. Another amazing thing was having a group of 11 people coming from different nationalities and from different study fields (Marketing, Design, Communication, Engineering), in which everyone has given a valuable contribution.
Firstly we created an action plan. At Rome Business School I learned many things, and in this particular circumstance, I used the knowledge I acquired on building buyers personas, market research, and some digital marketing related stuff. All competencies and skills that turned out to be extremely useful.
One of the best things I learned from this experience is teamwork and time management. I also liked the inclusive and cooperative spirit: although everyone was speaking Italian, they still all tried their best to make me feel comfortable with them and I think language cannot be a barrier for your goal if you work with a very good team.
